Very friendly staff in the lobby/check in area. Very welcoming and enjoyed chatting food/things to do and sharing recommendations. Nice lobby and lounge area, rooms are well kept, showing a little age here and there but no problems at all. Location is good for walking to lots of nearby things to do.

This place totally exceeded my expectations. The room was nice and clean, all the staff were friendly, professional, and efficient, and the location is quite convenient, too. Breakfast was a bit meh but it was also cheap and convenient so I have nothing to complain about. Overall, I really liked this hotel and I would stay here again.

First, a big shoutout to Diahema at the front desk—she was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. It made such a difference after a long day of travel to be greeted by someone who clearly cares about guests having a great experience. The room itself was very clean, which is always one of my top priorities when staying anywhere. Everything felt well-maintained and fresh, and housekeeping clearly does a great job. The hotel is a bit older, so if you’re expecting something ultra-modern, this may not be the place—but honestly, it’s priced very fairly for what you get. Between the cleanliness, the great service, and the convenient location, it offers solid value. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again and really appreciated the friendly service—especially from Diahema!

Great lounge area, but would have loved if there was some sort of continental breakfast. Even if it was just pastries and cereal (without having to buy cereal and milk separately). Also, didn’t really like that the fan and light in the bathroom were connected. So I couldn’t just have the light on.

We had great stay here. The staff were very friendly and informative, the room was clean, and within walking distance of many outstanding pizza places. We walked all over the amazing property of Yale University, chilled in a few parks, and enjoyed New Haven more than I thought we would. I will definitely return! Thanks New Haven Hotel!

I stayed with my daughter in this nice hotel. Very good location in town center. clean room, very big room with a couch. All very clean, nice view. Bed was huge and good. Reception lady’s Stephanie L and Drahema were very friendly and nice! I will come again in this hotel
